Sterling, ILL – The Viterbo University Track and Field teams opened the indoor track and field season Saturday at the St. Ambrose Fighting Bee Invitational. Freshman Joshua Housel (Vero Beach, Fla.) finished first overall in the 400 hurdles to lead the men's track and field team while freshman Amber Sanderson (La Crosse, Wis.) collected first place in the 200 meter dash to lead the women's track and field team. Housel's time of 58.94 and Sanderson's of 26.42 were both new indoor records for the V-Hawks.
